The course materials for Inspire Through Clinical Teaching are available on request through a Creative Commons license.
We have found that this course is much more than the sum of the course materials. It’s an opportunity to connect medical educators with visiting faculty from across the globe, in order to learn from each other, share ideas and develop a network for collaboration. If you want to run an Inspire Through Clinical Teaching course in your country, please email us at teaching@inspirecourse.com so that we can find a way to make this happen.
The short answer is: YES! Even though this course was developed by anesthesiologists, it really has nothing to do with anesthesia. Our course is for any healthcare professional who wants to become a better teacher and medical educator. We have had doctors, nurses, pharmacists and radiology technicians attend our course. In fact, the interprofessional nature of our course is one of its greatest strengths because it gives participants who work together a chance to learn together and from each other.
Courses are funded through the support of volunteers and by grants. We would like to thank the following donors for their support:
Donations can be made to the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society International Education Foundation – Inspire Fund (opens in a new tab/window). All donations will be used to fund Inspire Through Clinical Teaching courses in low resource centres.
“For me, I am driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You’d be surprised how far that gets you.” – Neil deGrasse Tyson
